Forza Horizon 6: Standard Edition (Xbox Series X|S / Windows 10/11) is the latest entry in the popular open-world racing series, released on May 19, 2026. It continues the festival-style racing formula that made previous games hugely successful.

Story & Setting

The game is set in a beautifully stylized and expanded version of Japan. You start as a tourist arriving in the country and gradually work your way into the Horizon Festival. The campaign focuses on discovery, proving yourself in the Horizon Invitational, rising through the ranks, and eventually earning access to exclusive areas like Legend Island.

The world blends dense urban driving in a highly detailed Tokyo with rural landscapes, mountains, forests, and iconic locations around Mount Fuji. It’s the largest and most vertically complex map in the Horizon series yet, full of Japanese culture, music, and atmosphere.

Gameplay

• Open World: Seamless, massive Japan map with huge variety — city streets, touge mountain roads, highways, countryside, and more. Dynamic weather and intense seasonal changes (including permanent winter areas) greatly affect driving.
• Cars: Over 550 licensed real-world vehicles, including many JDM icons. Extensive customization options with body kits, liveries, performance upgrades, and more.
• Racing & Activities: Festival races, Time Attack Circuits, drag racing, stunts, Horizon Story missions, collectibles, and a full progression system with wristbands and ranks.
• Multiplayer: Drop-in/drop-out co-op, online events, car meets, The Eliminator, Hide & Seek, and more social features.
• New Features: Improved handling options (including more realistic settings), better audio, deeper garage/housing customization, and expanded Collection Journal.

The Standard Edition gives you the complete base game. It does not include extra cars, the Car Pass, Welcome Pack, or early access (those are in Deluxe and Premium editions). Pre-order bonuses may include a special Ferrari J50.
